SENIOR INFO
Carina Leagues Redsox Baseball Club field senior teams in Senior grades from Division 1 – 6 as well as the Masters competition. We have men and women competing in our senior teams. We also offer an option for our female players to compete in the 10 week GBL pre-Christmas competition.
Training commitments range from once per week for the more social player to two to three times per week for our Division 1 playing squad. Training takes place at nights under lights and players are training in teams based on skill level. Teams generally train in squads of two or three teams and include on-field defence and batting, as well as controlled skill improvement and development in hitting cages and bull pens.
Games take place on Sundays for senior teams except for Division 1, who play two games per week with the additional game played on Friday nights. Masters play on a Monday night and the 10 week women’s competition is played on Saturday afternoons.
We are very encouraging of our junior players as they move across to senior games. Where possible we encourage our junior players aged 15 and over to consider playing in both competitions – or, as a lesser commitment, filling in for senior teams if needed.
Senior teams Umpiring Roster
In keeping with the club philosophy of community, all senior players are part of the senior games umpire roster. Sharing the responsibilities around makes the season enjoyable for everyone. Roster for the first half of the season will be released as soon as the new season draw is available.
